In the first quarter of 2025, the top music and podcast applications in Kuwait showed varied performance trends across downloads, revenue, and active users. This analysis is based on data collected from both iOS and Android platforms, provided by Sensor Tower.

Spotify: Music and Podcasts experienced fluctuations in weekly revenue, peaking at around $803 in late February. Downloads showed a downward trend initially, decreasing to approximately 2.5K in early March before recovering to about 3.1K by the end of the quarter. Active users remained relatively stable, hovering around 140K throughout the period.

YouTube Music saw a notable peak in weekly revenue, reaching nearly $21K in late February. Downloads were highest in early February at about 3.8K, before tapering off to around 2.6K by the end of March. The number of active users decreased from approximately 98K to 87K over the quarter.

SoundCloud: The Music You Love showed a consistent revenue stream, with a peak of about $2K in late February. Downloads followed a similar pattern, starting the quarter at around 2.3K and dipping to 1.5K by early March, before rising again to 2.1K. Active users displayed a slight decline, dropping from nearly 197K to 191K.

Anghami: Play Music & Podcasts maintained a steady revenue flow, with a peak of approximately $8.5K in late February. Downloads remained relatively stable, ranging from 1.4K to 1.7K. Active users showed minor fluctuations, ending the quarter around 25K.

Lastly, Shazam: Find Music & Concerts had consistent download numbers, starting at about 789 and ending at 842. Active users remained steady, slightly increasing from around 34K to 34.2K by the end of March.
